Aaliyah Turner ‘23 (She/Her) is a rising senior at Community Academy of Science and Health (CASH). Her future involves pursuing a career in healthcare or having her own business where she can help others. She looks to encourage others using creative humor and recreational expression to make her environment a safe space for anyone, especially those in need. She enjoys traveling, playing volleyball, and learning new things and skills. This summer, she interned at the North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC), where she promoted events like jazz in the park and music classes and participated in marketing plans and statements, which boosted her social and planning skills along with her confidence.
Aamori Roach 23’ (She/Her) is a rising senior at Codman Academy Charter Public School (CACPS). This summer, Aamori is interning at the nonprofit organization Celebrity Series of Boston, where she has had the opportunity to get hands-on experience with marketing, finance, and organization skills such as designing graphics, putting together calendars for the upcoming season, and putting donor information in their financial database. She has a strong interest in the world of fashion while still wanting to gain knowledge on marketing and entrepreneurship.
Andrew Ye (He/Him) is a student at Boston Latin School. He is a multifaceted creative soul with a keen eye for storytelling and a passion for bringing visions to life. As a seasoned videographer, Andrew captures the essence of moments, weaving them into compelling narratives that resonate with audiences. He has made videos for his worksite this summer, MASSCreative. This cinematic prowess is complemented by an entrepreneurial spirit, having developed many products and built two websites from the ground up. But Andrew's talents don’t just end behind the lens. On water, Andrew is a dedicated rower for his school, pushing limits and embodying the essence of teamwork and discipline with every stroke. On land, Andrew channels artistic energy into creating intricate sculptures, molding clay and wax into tangible manifestations of imagination. Yet, the symphony of Andrew's life doesn't stop there. As a proficient violinist, Andrew finds solace and expression through strings, producing melodies that captivate and inspire. He is in the Boston Latin School Concert String Orchestra and the New England Conservatory Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. From visuals to ventures, water to workshop, and concertos to craftsmanship, Andrew is a testament to the beauty of pursuing diverse passions.
Angel Yepes Henao ‘23 (He/Him) is a rising senior at Boston Arts Academy (BAA). Angel is interning at Sociedad Latina, where he got to help experienced English and non-English speakers to learn to create their own musical media content through the usage of music software such as garage band with live recording and sessions of lyric writing and beat workshops. Although he is working at an internship, he is planning to pursue a performing music career with a focus on game scoring because he believes it’s becoming a popular and fun job to pursue in these future tech years. He has realized that he has to spread music across the world as a form of a language because if he does, he could trespass barriers and even mend country relationships, he found this inspiring mission back in his home country, Colombia, where many students didn’t have the opportunity to play music because of economic resources, but thankfully many programs already offer free music education in his country. Angel is currently working alongside BAI alumni and interns, which has strengthened his social skills, and always portrays a clear vision of bringing joy and optimism to the cohort he is placed in. Angel has also used this internship opportunity to nurture his teaching and performing skills which he mentions will be crucial in his artist, composer, and performer future.
Aniyah Givens ‘23 (she/her) I’m a rising senior at Snowden International. Her worksite was at Arts Connect International in the Seaport. Her aspirations grew larger working there as what she wants to do in the future has become a part of a bigger artistry, fashion designs, etc. Her worksite also showed her how to edit and she plans to partake in YouTube. Aniyah also plays multiple sports, such as basketball, volleyball, and track and field. During ACI, she was able to learn more about networking and parts or event planning. Aniyah also does IB as a full college course. She plans to have a hard-working further education along with a successful future.
Ariana Anderson (she/ her) is a current student at John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science, where she is the captain of the track and field team. Recently, she was one of the leads in her school’s first ever play, Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. This summer she was an intern at West End House. This fall, she will be taking three AP classes, and upon graduation she plans to go on to college to pursue a major in Physics with a minor in Theater.
Ashley Soriano (she/her) is a rising senior at Snowden International High School. Ashley is interning at Urbanity Dance and has developed marketing skills for example during her internship she was assigned to make merchandise and take photos of dancers and video classes to promote on social media. She is looking forward to apply these skills in her future endeavors. Ashley is thankful for the opportunity to connect and network with the team at Urbanity Dance.
Aujanai Tavares ‘23 (she/her) - is a rising senior at John D. O’Bryant. Aujanai has spent her summer interning for Company One Theater as a Teaching Assistant for improv & has even hosted a teen night out event for fellow artists such as herself. Although she was just introduced to the artistic world this year, Aujanai enjoys practicing and sharing her love for improv and the theater community. She looks forward to taking a different career path in college by studying for her nursing degree. Working for BAI has helped Aujanai find a community of unique and talented teens such as herself and she looks forward to keeping in touch and networking with the people she’s connected with this summer.

Brenda Mercado '23 ( is a rising senior at Boston Latin School (BLS). Her worksite this summer is at OrigiNation Cultural Arts Center in Jamaica Plain, where she’s done research and made a promo video to put on their website. She is most passionate about making a difference not only through her work but also, more specifically, in the arts, such as theater and videography. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing music, and creative writing, such as writing small miscellaneous scripts. She aims to convey ideas and stories through her writing as well as bringing together many people in order to uplift and support various communities through her work.

Deborah Fernand ‘23 (She/Her) is a rising senior at TechBoston Academy. Deborah wants to pursue nursing at UMass Boston and is very passionate about health care. She is interning at Abilities Dance Boston this summer. This summer, she enjoyed touring the different colleges, especially UMass Boston and Boston University; she enjoyed the Arts and Culture Fridays, where she had the opportunity to create some art with her new friend, a special shout out to Humphrey Street Studio and its artists. Deborah is applying to several colleges, but she really hopes that she will be accepted by UMass Boston. That’s why Deborah is spending her last days working on her essay, and she’s doing more research about UMass Boston.
Dereon Goldsmith ‘23 (He/Him) Is a rising senior at Codman Academy Charter Public School (CACPS). As a BAI intern, Dereon worked at Huntington in the Marketing department in Southend of Boston. Dereon had a chance to be a part of behind the scenes of marketing and got to discuss strategies for the company's promotion, sales/budgets, ticketing, and Social Media influencers that could help pull in younger audiences. This was very beneficial to Dereon since he has a strong drive/passion for the business/marketing and entrepreneurship industry. He hopes to learn more!
Destiny Ortega
Djamel Josaphat (she/her) is a rising senior at New Mission High School where she has been on the honor roll. She also studied textile art during middle school. This summer Djamel is interning at CMCB (Community Music Center of Boston). CMCB has helped Djamel grow her skills such as organization, teamwork, and time management. Djamel’s worksite also shows her how to manage social media. She is very passionate about sports, traveling and business. Djamel is also learning how to truly feel confident when she speaks her mind. After high school she hopes to go to college, and start a business.
Dora Capobianco (she/her) is a rising high school senior at Boston Latin School. Dora is interning at the Handel and Haydn Society, working alongside the associate director of education on the Handel and Haydn Youth Choirs. She has helped to improve the youth outreach portion of H&H and expand the digital records of the musical library. Dora has always had a strong interest in and connection to music, being a part of a large musical family and two school choirs. Her interests outside of school range from rowing and gaming to digital art and cooking. She takes on leadership roles in her school’s own Gospel Choir as an attendance secretary and has been a part of the BLS crew team for five years. Dora is eager to feed her intellectual curiosity further in college, where she is interested in potential careers in subjects such as architecture, mathematics, and graphic design.
Emily Guerrero Del Villar ‘23 (she/her) is a rising senior at Boston Arts Academy (BAA). She is in the acting concentration and hopes to study acting and creative writing in college. As a BAI Intern, Emily worked at the Huntington, a regional theatre in South End, in the PR department. Emily thrived behind the scenes in the administrative offices and learned much about what goes on beyond the productions. She attended Meet-and-Greets meetings and learned about office culture. Two projects went on at The Huntington in the PR department, where Emily learned much about publicity, marketing, and behind-the-scenes strategies. This internship was beneficial as she hopes to work with Huntington again someday: whether that be as an actor or a coworker. Regardless, these skills will forever be practiced as she markets her novels and brand in the creative industry.
Ethan Bowler ‘23 (He/Him) is a seventeen-year-old multi-medium artist spanning from sculpting to performance arts in the city of Boston. He has worked with several different arts organizations in the past and was thrilled to learn more about theatre with the Bloomberg Arts Internships by working in set design and lighting at the Actors Shakespeare Project (ASP). He was given the amazing opportunity to run lights for ASP’s Summer Youth Intensive production of Twelfth Night. When he’s not creating art, Ethan has been spending recent time preparing for college applications and finishing up his last year at Boston Day and Evening Academy. He hopes to learn more in the coming years about acting and digital media.
Evelyn Cabot (she/her) is a rising high school senior at Boston Latin School. Evelyn is interning at Pao Arts Center through the Bloomberg Arts Internship. This summer, she helped prepare the space for the center’s newest installation, researched and learned more about the history of Boston’s Chinatown, and aided artists in painting murals for the center’s Experience Chinatown festival in September. Following the end of the program, Evelyn plans to nurture her interests in writing and photography, and she hopes to create a series of photographs that creatively represent life with OCD. Although unsure of where she sees herself in the future, she is excited to continue learning and to experience new things.
Gabriel Feinberg ‘23 (he/him) is a rising high school senior at Boston Latin School. Gabriel is an aspiring producer and entertainment manager in the performing arts with passions in music and education. This summer, Gabriel worked as a production assistant while interning with the Actors’ Shakespeare Project through the Bloomberg Arts Initiative program. At his work site, Gabriel learned the essentials of operating a theater company and facilitating every aspect of a theatrical production. From lighting and sound design, to set construction, and even teaching, ASP and the Charlestown Working Theater provided Gabriel with the opportunity to create and express himself in a collaborative and artistic environment. His active engagement and leadership in his high school’s theater company and music ensembles has inspired him to continue pursuing entertainment in college and professionally. Gabriel aspires to found a production company that values artistic expression through live performances. Whether that art be conveyed on a stage, on a screen, on canvas, or through headphones, allowing underprivileged and disconnected audiences with more accessibility to live entertainment is his primary goal. Gabriel is very eager to embark on the next stage of his academic journey, and we can expect to see him thriving across the East coast.
Hannah Rubinstein (she/her) is an artist, poet, and aspiring lighting designer with a deep passion for both technical theater and STEM fields. Her art blends complex themes of gender identity, science and discovery, and the magic of the stage. Always looking for new educational, personal, and community experiences, her long term goal is to study either theater or astronomy. She’s worked on award-winning productions with her school theater at Boston Latin School (where she is a senior.) Credits include A Clown Show About Rain and Qrumpet, shows which were semi-finalists and finalists respectively in the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild’s 2022 and 2023 High School Theatre Festivals. Hannah has also worked at a number of community-focused and academic organizations, including Food Rescue US, South End Technology Center, and Harvard University.
Jacquelynn Stewart-Lee (She/Her)
Jasmine May (she/her) is an aspiring singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, music producer and actor who will be attending her senior year at the John D O’bryant School of Mathematics and Science. Over her years of musical experience she has learned how to play 7ish instruments, (guitar, piano, saxophone, flute, ukulele, drums, and her voice). She started out as a young child singing and dancing, and a lot of watching movies and Tv knowing this was her dream and she was going to be big someday. Not only is she deeply indulged in the arts, she is a linebacker and wide receiver on her school's football team and is the only girl on the team, she also swims(100 backstroke, 100 free and relay team), does track and field(she throws javelin, shot put), does gymnastics and taekwondo. But outside of the athletic world she is also the captain of her school's debate team, and will hopefully get to compete nationally this upcoming season. She also participates in her school's poetry club. This very well rounded individual hopes to attend Berklee college of Music and major in vocal technique, and music performance after high school. Currently she is working to finalize a few of her original songs to release publicly. She hopes to create music and inspire others to follow their dreams.
Jayden Michael West ‘23 (He/They) is a rising senior at TechBoston Academy. Jayden loves all forms of the arts, but has a major interest in visual arts. He found himself drawing mostly dogs from well-loved animations at the young age of 10 and continuing on everyday since. He uses the skills he has garnered at his worksite, West End House, to help the kids create art and even some props for an upcoming play they are performing soon. Art surrounds Jayden’s everyday life, as it is not only his job, but his hobby, and a part of his curriculum at school as well. Jayden hopes to find a good life while having art as his main focus, and even opening up his own animation studio that would pay workers fairly and would have internships for young animators finding their path.
Jian Ping Ye Li (she/her) is a rising senior at Brighton High School. Intern at Veronica Robles Cultural Center (VROCC) where she learned more about Latin culture through artistic activities done with kids. Jian Ping aspires to attend college after High School to become an architect. As someone artistic, she had explored art through different kinds of media, especially landscaping and graphite drawing; she has done art since she was a kid and expanded her knowledge and techniques after having art classes at high school. Art for her is a way to escape reality, something where you’re in your own world, something that represents you and your ideas.

Julia Phan ‘23 (She/Her) is a rising senior at Boston Latin School (BLS). Julia is interning at EdVestors where she gets to see the behind-the-scenes of programming. Although she is working at an arts internship, she plans on working in the business field. Julia aspires to be a financial manager with the goal of working with non-profit organizations that support kids and teenagers from disadvantaged communities. She grew up around kids who lacked support from their families and also experienced it first hand, which is why she is passionate about helping others. She also realizes that it is important for kids to have access to resources that will help prepare them for higher education and work. Julia is currently working alongside BAI’s program assistants and alumni to support them in planning the program’s activities such as community building and Arts and Culture days. She also has a hand in supporting the media and communication team with blog posts and captioning BAI’s Instagram posts. These new skills have introduced Julia to the corporate world and taught her how to navigate a professional setting. She finds these new skills very valuable for her future career.
Kadijah Jalloh is a rising senior at the John D O’Bryant high school. She is interning at handel&haydn society, where she works alongside the associate director of education and the education and community engagement coordinator to learn about marketing and music management skills. From organizing music sheets to reviewing web pages. Kadijah even got to participate in a hiring panel and got to see what the process of hiring new music teachers was like. Although Kadijah aspires to work in the business field, she is also interested in fashion and psychology. In the future, she plans to travel the world to discover her true purpose in the world.
Kaniya English (she/her) is a computer person and enjoys computers and they were at 826 Boston for a few days this summer. Each Thursday they come in and work with their tutor each morning at 9:00am. An accomplishment that happened then was team work even if it was partner work to make something. The work had been good for the past weeks and the people were very nice plus the atmosphere was cool. A goal was to complete one thing and that had happened. Kaniya uses computers to help build company projects and hosting.
Katelyn Strong
Karla Duque (she/her) is a graphic designer and rising senior at Boston Arts Academy. Karla is interning for OrigiNation Cultural Arts Center, designing new graphics for the studio and expanding her communication and ideation skills as a designer. Karla’s professional portfolio includes illustrations for a children’s book and a poetry illustration for which she was awarded a Scholastic Gold Key. In addition to graphic design, she enjoys creating mixed media pieces, mostly working with collage and ink, often finding inspiration in her hobby of collecting. Karla is always open to learning new things, whether it’s art related or just connecting with others.
Kaylyn Nguyen ‘23 is a rising senior for the class of 2024 at the Community Academy of Science and Health High School, AKA CASH. Kaylyn has always had a passion for moving her hobby into becoming an aspiring and passionate artist for her future career. She has found it quite difficult in her time to express thoughts and emotions until the creativity art had brought upon her. Kaylyn takes opportunities to improve her knowledge to study and discover other teen artists within her community to draw inspiration from. This summer of 2023, Kaylyn became an intern with Arts Connect International through Bloomberg Art Internship, where she not only understands the dedication to an organization’s rooted purpose but also thinks deeply about the concerns of political situations that can be spoken through art pieces.
Keyanna Bernard (She/Her) is a senior at The John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science, who is a fashionable activist. She plans on applying and studying History at Spelman College to go on to be a history teacher and eventually a juvenile attorney. She loves making content on all social media and wants to create a difference for young people of color with style.
Maria Olmo ‘23 (she/her) is a rising senior at Margarita Muniz Academy (MMA). Maria has a competitive soul, which gotten her into sports like soccer, flag football, and volleyball. When she’s not seen getting ready for a game, she is listening to loud music in her room like she’s at a concert, dancing her life away. For the summer of 2023, she is interning at UrBanity Dance through BAI internship (Bloomberg Art Initiative). While working at her worksite, she learned how to be a teacher’s assistant, helping the dance teacher work with kids and participating with the kids to be engaging. She also learned how to take attendance, answer calls, do emails, and is now able to use new apps she hasn’t used before like Slack, Asana and Amilia. Maria and other interns have worked together to design merch for the company and planned an event together, growing a close bond along the way. It’s sad to see the internship come to an end, as Maria starts to get comfortable to her worksite. The fun experience will be over but the memory will stay forever about the fun times and friendships made during this internship.
Molly McDermott (she/they) is a rising senior at Boston Latin School (BLS), and has aspirations in writing and journalism. She is currently interning at Abilities Dance Boston, helping to put on a gala, documenting it and spreading the word about the organization. Throughout the summer Molly has been able to work in marketing and operations, setting up performances and writing press releases. She enjoys being able to reach out to people about Abilities Dance and sharing the story of the amazing org. Being able to work and learn about marketing has been very inspiring for Molly as they see a future in the journalism space, and loves being able to research and talk to people in the field.
Nate Delices ‘23 (He/Him) is a rising senior at TechBoston Academy(TBA); Nate is very passionate about sports such as football and track. But in his free time, he enjoys doing things like making songs, playing video games, and reading/ writing. While interning at the Community Music Center of Boston, he completes miscellaneous tasks around the worksite, like editing videos, copying papers, sorting files, recreating the workspace environment, and much more. In college, Nate wants to major in something like sports or business management while probably minoring in something like psychology while continuing his career in sports. Qiyue He (She/her) is a rising senior at Josiah Quincy Upper School. She is a very curious person that likes different types of arts like oil painting, pencil drawing and collages. She found that art is a way to express her feelings. She’s also using arts to make others feel this world is colorful such as making the street look colorful for others. This summer she’s interning at Pao Arts Center through Bloomberg Arts Internship. At this internship she learned about Chinatown history, preparing different events for the artists and painting the Chinatown mural. Her goal for the future is to attend a four year college and major in Business management. She also hopes to have more chances to explore different types of arts in the future.
Quaidma Thelusme (he/him) is a rising senior at Boston International (BINcA). Interning at Art Connect International (ACI), Quaidma was able to pursue and work on something that he qualified as a hobby , which is photography/photo editing. During his time at his worksite Quaidma was free to choose what his personal project was going to look like. Letting his manager know since the beginning of the internship that he wanted to improve his skill in photo editing so his personal task was to capture moments and events related to intern experience that will be later on used to post on the organization social media. Quaidma describe his experience fun, instructive and dramatic quoted “dramatic because sometimes me and my interns partners play this game were we pretend to be character and there is always drama between us. The game reference is from bad girls club. Could not stop laughing when we got into character. And instructive because I was able to work on something that I liked to do and improved during my time at the incubator and also getting some advice from my managers about my work really helped me get better at photography and photo editing.
Rin Tatsuki (They/Them) is a rising senior at the Dearborn STEM with a huge passion for entertainment. They have worked through the summer with enough motivation to earn from it and gain something worthwhile. They're passion is to be a music artist within a group of friends and become a famous VTuber. At BAI they have learned about marketing and real plans within a real theater to experience something new as well. As for the future, if it isn't planned out yet it is just going to be the 1 same passion.

Sam Quintin ‘23 (He/Him) is a rising senior currently attending Madison Park Technical Vocational high school. His worksite is at West end house boys and girls club in Allston, where he helps kids between the ages of 7-14 learn about art and create it. He is most passionate about his creative ability and his strive to make a comfortable living off his art and to build a name for himself through his work. Growing up, Sam noticed art everywhere outside and in his home life, with his mother being an artist as well. He was inspired by the idea that a single person could take so many random things and tools and use them to create something that makes people stare in awe. Around 8th grade is the time Sam made art his dream, and his main goal to create art that makes people remember his name. He wants to have a legacy as an artist. Around sophomore year is when Sam was introduced to the business side of the art industry when he started working at Artist For Humanity. Working at Artist For Humanity allowed Sam to realize that not only is creating art important but being consistent with creating as well. Even though it tends to stress Sam out at times, art will always be a part of his life.
Shurel Codrington ‘23 (She/Her) is a rising senior at Boston Latin School. Shurel is interning at Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción(IBA) in the South End. There she is able to explore creativity through writing and visual arts. She works with kids from ages 14-17, assisting them in their creative process. Shurel desires to be an author and producer in the future. This is why overseeing peers younger than her was kept in mind when she was applying for IBA. Shurel didn’t have access to a safe space to explore her creativity, which is why she was invested in doing so for the kids she worked with. There she saw the children she mentored advocate for causes they are passionate about, proudly declare their identity, and challenge themselves to create art they were thrilled about. Being in such an environment has greatly supported Shurel’s creative process as well. Her time there has been well spent, and she desires to still be in contact with the peers she mentored and her staff. Shurel knows that the skills she gained, such as communication and coordination, are very valuable to her future success.
Sian Gordon ‘23 (She/Her) is a rising senior at John D. O’Bryant. This summer, Sian is interning at Celebrity Series through the Bloomberg Arts Internship, where she learned what goes into having a successful arts non-profit organization. Sian is an inspiring musician, which is something that has been an interest of hers since she was young. Growing up in a musical family has really fueled her ambition. Working at her internship this year, she got first-hand experience at what organizations are looking for in artists, what makes you stand out, what makes you a good candidate, and also what turns organizations away. She hopes to later apply this knowledge and experience to her future career, in which she wants to become a performing vocalist.

Stenley Cabrouet (he/him) is a highly skilled computer technician, with a passion for creating innovative solutions. With a solid foundation in technology, Stenley has successfully led numerous projects, delivering high-quality products that meet needs for the production staff at Blo and exceed expectations. His expertise lies in Google docs, Excel sheets etc, where he has utilized his proficiency in various websites and programs to complete projects. Stenley we’ll be a upcoming senior this year. After he graduates he plans on going to college, he is unsure what he wants to study in college but has in intertest in software and real estate. He is currently working with the Boston lyric opera getting supervised by Liam one the of Production/Artistic staff on the team. Throughout the summer on site days he was on the computer. Due to that Stenley learned new skills. Stenley also met with other people on the team through informational interviews, through those interactions his communications skills increased as well. Both of these skills could help him in either one of his interests for colleges. Stenley’s bio serves as a dynamic representation of his professional journey, showcasing his accomplishments, ongoing learning, and commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements.
Tyler Nguyen (he/him) is a rising senior at Boston Latin School who spent his summer of ‘23 interning at the Community Music Center of Boston in Back Bay. With his work at CMCB, Tyler developed his proficiency with Google suites, editing software, and even music technology. Most notably, he began to fully appreciate the role that communication plays in all projects, as he saw and sometimes even participated in meetings nearly every day. Outside of work, Tyler holds a passion for music and hopes to learn composition in the near future.
Zyion Docanto (he/him) is a soon to be graduate of Boston Arts Academy, where his major and focus is in fashion design. This summer, he has been an intern at Arts Connect International and worked on social media projects and other administrative tasks. After graduating from high school, Zyion plans to go to college to study business and marketing. You can keep up with him on his show "Keeping up with Zyion" coming to screens near you soon.
