ALUMNI ADVISORY COUNCIL

The 2020 Boston BAI program created an Alumni Advisory Council for the first time, hiring 4 former BAI interns to provide near-peer support for this year’s cohort through the weekly groups gathering and via individual outreach. While the former interns who participated in the alumni council were a diverse set of individuals with different strengths and capabilities, the Alumni Advisory Council provided a positive opportunity for all of the council members. In addition to reporting they enjoyed the experience of being on the Alumni Advisory Council, the alumni said they were made to feel like they were adults as a result of their responsibilities providing support to the current cohort of interns. They also mentioned their increased confidence and leadership skills.
